Bridgeway Academy—formerly MTI—is Marion County Public Schools’ only alternative school. Our mission is simple: help students discover who they are, build on their academic strengths, and connect them to the right opportunities at their base school and beyond.
At Bridgeway, every student has a plan. We start by exploring interests and talents through caring conversations, quick surveys, and classroom experiences. From there, we create a clear next-step roadmap—courses, supports, and hands-on learning—that keeps students on track for graduation and ready for life after high school.
We partner closely with families, base-school teams, and community organizations. Students take part in informational sessions, field trips, and real-world learning that make school relevant and engaging. Along the way, we introduce the Four E’s so every student can see a future that fits:
Employment – entering the workforce with skills and confidence
Entrepreneurship – turning ideas into a small business or side hustle
Enrollment – continuing education at a college or technical program
Enlistment – serving in the military with purpose and a plan
Bridgeway is more than a placement—it’s a launchpad. We meet students where they are, celebrate progress, and link each learner to the people and programs that open doors. Together, we’ll chart a path that is personal, practical, and possible.
